QA Colourtuff PU

QA Colour Tuff PU is a tough & durable coloured water based coating for concrete, asphalt & most flooring situations. Colour Tuff PU is based on state of the art acrylic polymer technology and is further modified with a premium water based aliphatic polyurethane. The polyurethane modification substantially improves all wear properties and makes it non blocking under heat.

Surface Preparation
Surface must be clean & free from dirt, grease, oil & any loose materials. Concrete is best to be acid etched with a 4:1 water to hydrochloric acid mix & then thoroughly scrubbed. Then wash off with water or water blast.For surfaces in good condition and previously sealed surfaces, water blast well or clean & scrub with a surface cleaner then wash off well with water.
For well prepared & porous surfaces priming is not necessary. However, for dense concrete & smooth & glossy previously painted surfaces, priming is recommended. In these cases a number of primers can be used such as QA SB Primer & QA Supa Bond mixed 1:1 with cement. This extra step in uncertain situations ensures maximum adhesion of the coating system.
Application
Apply 2 coats by roller & cut in with a brush or apply by airless spray gun. A coverage of around 8m²/ltr will be achieved per coat giving a total usage with 2 coats of 4m²/ltr.
Clean up Wash up is with water.
