QA Pave Seal
Description
QA Pave Seal is a top of the range, premium solvent based acrylic clear concrete sealer. Being a high solids sealer based on the latest polymer technology QA Pave Seal gives optimum film build, wear and the longest life for this family of products.
Purpose
For sealing concrete and masonry surfaces to provide a long wearing and attractive surface that resists dusting, dirt and oil, mould and most common surface contaminants.
Typical Applications
Most commonly used on driveways such as stamped concrete, spray on stencil tile concrete, exposed aggregate and plain concrete. Also used on pavers, garage and workshop floors, and pathways and pool surrounds.
QA Pave Seal can be coloured on request and is very effective to giving a new life and colour to faded and worn stamped and patterned concrete and plain concrete.
A range of specialised non-slip additives are available if there are any concerns about the slipperiness on smooth or sloped areas.
Surface Preparation
The surface must be clean and dry and free of surface contaminants such as oil, grease, loose paint, dust and any contaminants.
Where the surface is flaky or has loose paint or any suspect areas a water blast is recommended and then allowed to thoroughly dry.
For dense uncoated concrete an acid etch is recommended using 4 to 1 water to hydrochloric acid mix scrubbed in with a stiff broom. This then needs to be thoroughly washed off and let totally dry.
Safety
Being solvent based and flammable QA SB Primer should be used with adequate ventilation and kept away from sparks and open flames.
