QA Aqua Rainguard is a chemically crosslinking siloxane / silane complex emulsion that provides a water repelling protection for exterior masonry & brick walls. Once QA Aqua Rainguard is applied to the surface it hydrolyses & is converted into a silicone water repellent. QA Aqua Rainguard reduces the capillary absorption of the building which it has penetrated, but does not clog pores or capillaries. Therefore there is little or no impairment of the building materials ability to breathe.
Clean surface of al contaminants using water blasting or hosing & scrubbing if the surface is dirty & contaminated. QA Aqua Rainguard needs to penetrate into the surface to do its job.
Apply 2 saturating coats at around 2 to 4m²/ltr per coat depending on the porosity of the substrate. Can be applied by low pressure spray, roller, sponge or brush
Clean up with water. If overspray occurs dried product can be removed with a mild solvent such as methylated spirits.
