QA SB Primer is commonly used as a primer coat prior to membrane coatings and decorative top coats such as QA Liquid Membrane and QA NSC for example. This gives adhesive and cohesive bonding of these high viscosity topcoats.

QA SB (Solvent Based) Primer is a highly penetrating solvent based primer that penetrates and bonds to different surfaces. It bonds to dense concrete and stabilises soft concrete surfaces and also has excellent cohesive bonding strength for subsequent topcoats.
Surface Preparation
Ensure surface is clean and dry and free of all surface contaminants. For dense contaminated, worn or loose surfaces water blasting or acid etching may need to be considered. If in doubt consult with the manufacturer.
Application
Apply one coat by brush roller or spray at around 10L/m2 dependant on the porosity of the surface.
Safety
Being solvent based and flammable QA SB Primer should be used with adequate ventilation and kept away from sparks and open flames.
